Xu-Guang Guo, MD

Mr. Xu-Guang Guo majored in clinical laboratory medicine and obtained his master degree of clinical laboratory medicine in the graduate school of the Fourth Military Medical University in 2010. He serves as a director of division of clinical microbiology and an academic secretary in the Department of Clinical Laboratory Medicine in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University.

He had been supported by grants from Guangzhou Medical University Youth Fund Projects (No. 2010A26), the Medical and Health Science and Technology Projects of Guangzhou City (No.20121A011160, No.20121A011160 and No. 20131A011157), and Guangzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine Combined with Science and Technology Projects (No. 20122A011033). He has been selected to join the Elite Talent Plan of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University.

Mr. Guo delivered successful oral presentations in the 18th Annual Congress of the Asian-Pacific Society of Respirology and presented abstract in the poster section in the 16th Annual Congress of the Asian-Pacific Society of Respirology and 18th Annual Congress of the Asian-Pacific Society of Respirology.

Now, Mr. Guo is a reviewer of the International Journal of Biological Science and has published more than 10 articles in academic journals. His research interests include the reciprocal mechanism between autophagy and pathogens, diagnostic systematic review (Evidence Based Clinical Laboratory medicine) and quick diagnosis in clinical microbiology.

His research interests are clinical microbiology & infectious diseases.
