Dr. Renato Tozzoli was born in Venice on July, 1951. He has graduated in Medicine in 1977 at the University of Bologna, and specialized in Preventive Medicine in 1980, in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases in 1984, and in Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine in 1988. He currently serves as Director of Clinical Pathology Laboratory in S. Maria degli Angeli Hospital of the hospital of Pordenone, Italy.
Dr. Renato Tozzoli is author of about 350 scientific papers, consisting of original articles in national and international journals, books, chapters of books. He has participated in more than 650 national and international congresses and has given more than 300 lectures to national and international meetings.
Renato Tozzoli is deputy editor of Autoimmunity Highlights and General Coordinator of the Scientific Study Groups of Italian Society of Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (SIPMeL).The main areas of research include analytical and clinical validation of biomarkers, diagnosis and management of autoimmune disease, diagnostics of endocrine and metabolic diseases.
